A WELCOME TO

Craig Crofoot's ambitious US CINPAC War Diary 1941-45 project.

ABOUT US

Unlike our other publications, World War II at Orbat.com is not a specific publication. Rather, it is a cooperative effort by persons who run their own sites, and have decided, for reasons of convenience, to gather together under one roof. Sites are the responsibility of their owners, we accept whatever degree of freedom the individual owner wants. So, for example, we publish Whermacht Orbats for Bill Russ, but Dr. Niehorster and Jason Long have complete control of their sites.

World War II at Orbat.com is like the Hotel Infinity of math paradox fame: no matter who arrives, we will always have your room ready for you.

While we may have suggestions, and hope to persuade site owners to adopt a common design for the first page to brand the product, you are always free to do exactly what you like with your room. You can make it bigger any time you like, you can have wild parties, you can be exclusive - our job is to make you happy, because if you are happy, we are too!

Dr. Leo Niehorster is the Commando Supremo of World War II at Orbat.com. Nonetheless, our arrangement with him is that he will appear and disappear as he likes, as happens with sub-atomic particles. He will simultaneously be the boss of everyone and the boss of no one. We anticipate there will be times when he will want to be the boss even of the Publisher, and that's fine with us!

So, he may choose to write an editorial, or he may choose not to write an editorial. Any of the site owners is free to write an editorial. This is going to be only place where you may see five editorials together, or you may see none!

We ask readers to welcome Dr. Niehorster, Jason Long, Bill Russ, and Gavin Wiens. Gavin is reconstituting his web pages and will debut when he feels like it.

Meantime, if you want to join these fine orbat historians, click on the information link [still to be put up], and if what we have to offer interests you, please get in touch.
